Position Summary
The role holder will be required to lead, direct, monitor and control operations and maintenance (O&M) activities to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable operations, including overseeing and managing the activities of the respective managers and contractors (if any). The incumbent will be responsible for seeing to maximization of revenues by ensuring optimum use of resources to meet demand forecasted. The role holder is expected to provide strategic guidance to the team and tactical inputs to the management thereby offering the business a competitive advantage and keeping ahead of its competitors in the market
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
- Review and co-create the enterprise-wide strategy with other CXOs to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
- Responsible for meeting demand forecasted in a cost-effective and sustainable manner
- Continuously endeavour to apply benchmarked industry practices including enabling technology and innovation in managing site activities and productivity initiatives
Managerial / Supervisory
- Drive operational excellence in site operations and maintenance
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans and strategies for optimising O&M revenues and expenses
- Ensure, enable and monitor of implementation of organizational standards and procedures in Operation & Maintenance. Contribute and assist in the improvement and development of standards and procedures
- Prepare, analyse and track departmental budgets. Establish operating and financial objectives and manage resources with optimal usage
Operational
- Build strong relationships with external partners, customers and regularly interact with them by attending sales workshops, seminars, events and playing an active role in industry organizations
- Manage key business relationships with major suppliers
- Regularly review reports, conduct analysis of any shutdowns, and ensure adherence to company SOPs, processes, methodologies and tools.Ensure minimization of overheads
People Development
- Review team’s performance on a regular basis and provide ongoing feedback
- Groom and guide operations leads to ensure cost targets are met and KPIs are achieved
- Oversee facilitation of a conducive work environment that ensures high employee engagement levels in the team
- Identify training needs for the team and recommend the trainings to the management

- Ability to conduct root cause analysis in order to eliminate repeated breakdowns.
- Experience in Site management with respect to handling complex operation & maintenance activities

Minimum Eligibility Areas
At least 20 years of experience in a fast-paced dynamic business environment in managing large scale O&M processes preferably for an organization in the consumer durables (experience in Kitchenware, Cookware, Appliances preferred)
Education Qualification and specialization
- MBA – Operations or
- M. Tech / M.S.
