Position/Title | Sr HR Generalist |
Job Purpose | -The Human Resource Generalist is accountable for supporting the Human Resource needs of their assigned Branch(es’) talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, policy and legal compliance, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll processing, and employee and management coaching. |
Role, & Responsibilities | -Provides the highest level of service and professionalism in interactions with internal and external. -Relates well with diverse populations and at all levels. -Maintains constructive work relationships. -Approachable and available to employees. -Trustworthy and maintains the highest level of confidentiality. -Builds effective business partnerships with management. -Develops and/or recommends Human Resources solutions that balance employee needs with departmental and overall company goals. -Coordinates and executes talent acquisition, including but not limited to ensuring required hiring approvals are obtained, recruiting strategy, advertising, maintaining applicant tracking system and associated recruiting records, candidate sourcing, interviewing, preparing employment letters, and on-boarding. -Successfully manages and resolves complex employee relations and performance issues by conducting detailed investigations, creating and maintaining appropriate processes and documentation, organizing information and making recommendations regarding course of action. -Familiar with labors laws for areas of responsibility. -Stays current with HR related regulations and acceptable practices for assigned Branches. -Fulfills (locally) and coordinates (regionally) Health & Safety requirements, etc. -Ensures payroll for assigned Branches is processed accurately and timely, including time off, deductions, proration, and any other adjustments (does not include tax processing). -Manages and trains management and employees on timekeeping system use as needed. -Ensures new hires, terminations and changes are processed accurately and timely. -Manages various HR systems and processes. -Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance, maintains HR records in compliance with applicable internal and legal requirements. -Interacts with outside business associates such as employee benefit insurance companies, etc in a professional manner. -Performs overall administrative activities for assigned Branch(es’) HR responsibilities as needed. -Utilizes tools, systems & resources effectively in order to analyze employee data, develop solutions and provide support to meet internal customer needs that ensure strong cross functional communication. -This includes but is not limited to Benefits, Compensation, and systems such as applicant tracking, time off/absence, HRIS, and other HR related systems used to facilitate job accountabilities. -Supports regional and corporate HR Management with administration of various projects and policy/procedure implementation and changes. -Manages special projects. -Employee engagement; works closely with management and employees to build morale, increase productivity and retention, keep management informed of employee sentiments/concerns/challenges. – Performs overall administrative activities for assigned Branches’ HR responsibilities as needed. Organized, multi-tasks, and prioritizes well. Manages competing demands, working effectively and efficiently with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. -Works effectively while being responsible to various departments/management staff. -Reports to Human Resources Manager for region. -Other duties may be assigned. |
Experience & Preferred Skills | -Profound knowledge of HR practices, standards and regulations in all common HR areas (HR operations, compensation & benefits, employee relations, performance management, labor laws etc.). -Good analytical and organizational skills, process focused and attention to detail. -Strong time management and prioritization skills. Training skills are a plus. -High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. -Excellent verbal and written communication in local language and English. -Sound judgment, demonstrates problem solving abilities, decisiveness and flexibility. -Proficient MS Office skills and other software required. -Experience with an ERP system or various HR systems are a plus. -Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with all levels within the organization. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE · -This position requires a degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience. -A minimum of 5-7 years professional Human Resources experience is required, preferably in an international environment. |
