Job Purpose | -These leaders will be instrumental in developing country-specific business growth strategies while serving as Confluent-focused sales champions. -The role requires deep customer engagement across BFSI and Telecom sectors, proven ability to drive complex enterprise deals, and strong relationships with CXOs. -This is a high-impact, front-line sales role where you will spearhead growth for our real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture solutions while also building long-term market leadership for company in developing countries. |
Role, & Responsibilities | –Hunting & Business Development Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across enterprise accounts (BFSI, Telecom, Manufacturing, Digital-Natives). Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, ecosystem leverage, and partner collaboration. Establish country-specific go-to-market strategies aligned with business growth objectives. –Account Management & Growth Manage and grow strategic accounts, ensuring renewals, expansions, and long-term adoption. Build strong relationships with decision makers and influencers—both business leaders (CIO, CTO, CDO) and technical stakeholders (IT Architects, Data Engineers, Middleware leads). Develop territory/account plans with clear revenue and growth milestones. –Consultative Solution Selling Understand customer data strategies, IT landscape, and transformation priorities. Position event streaming / data-in-motion as critical enablers of business outcomes. Enterprise software sales with a focus on data/streaming/integration (Kafka, ESB, MQ, iPaaS, databases, analytics, observability). Streaming use-cases (real-time customer 360, payments/fraud, CDC, microservices modernization, mainframe/offload, IoT/telemetry) across BFSI, telecom, manufacturing, and digital-native enterprises. Lead discovery sessions, workshops, tailored demos, proposals, and enterprise negotiations. –Collaboration & Ecosystem Leadership Work closely with Pre-Sales, Technical, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to maximize value delivery. Engage with Confluent, cloud providers, GSIs, and SI partners to expand reach and drive joint go-to-market initiatives. Distinguish and onboard technically capable and influential channel partners within each geography. |
Experience & Preferred Skills | Experience –10+ years’ experience in enterprise IT solution/services sales with proven quota achievement. -Strong end-customer sales experience across BFSI and Telecom (mandatory). Track record of handling European accounts or global enterprise software portfolios a strong advantage. -Exposure to streaming/data integration technologies and digital transformation-led sales. Domain Knowledge Familiarity with databases, middleware, integration platforms, and cloud-native applications. -Understanding of streaming use cases: customer 360, fraud detection, payments, CDC, IoT/Telemetry, microservices modernization, mainframe offload. –Sales Skills Strong hunting and consultative selling skills. Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. Proven CXO engagement and enterprise deal closure experience. –Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with ability to build country-specific business playbooks. Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments. Executive presence with credibility across CXO and technical levels. |
