| Job Purpose | -He/she will lead the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations, driving initiatives that improve production planning, OEE, energy management, maintenance systems – making our everyday manufacturing operations more efficient. -You will champion Industry 4.0 adoption, implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and deploy Preventive Maintenance Management Systems (PMMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to optimise plant performance, reduce costs, and enhance operational resilience. -You will work closely with plant team, IT, and engineering teams to align digital initiatives with business goals and develop a roadmap for continuous improvement. |
| Role, & Responsibilities | Manufacturing Excellence Strategy -Develop and execute a digitalisation strategy focused on manufacturing excellence, integrating Industry 4.0 principles, MES, EMS, PMMS, and other advanced technologies. -Define long‑term and short‑term digital roadmaps to optimise OEE, improve production planning accuracy, and reduce downtime. -Identify and prioritise value‑driven digital initiatives in alignment with corporate objectives, resource availability, and ROI. OEE Improvement & Production Planning -Implement tools and analytics to monitor and improve OEE across all plants. -Collaborate with production planning teams to synchronise demand forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation using digital planning platforms. -Design and deploy dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide real‑time visibility into production KPIs and bottlenecks. –MES & Industry 4.0 Implementation Lead the selection, deployment, and integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to improve data accuracy, traceability, and process control. -Champion Industry 4.0 initiatives such as machine connectivity (IoT), advanced analytics, and digital twins to enable predictive and prescriptive insights. -Ensure seamless integration between MES and ERP systems to support end‑to‑end visibility and data integrity. -Leverage data insights for informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Energy & Maintenance Management Oversee the deployment of Energy Management Systems (EMS) to track, analyse, and optimise energy consumption, reducing costs and environmental impact. -Implement Preventive Maintenance Management Systems (PMMS) to shift maintenance from reactive to predictive, reducing unplanned downtime and extending equipment life. -Develop metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of energy and maintenance initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Change Management & Leadership -Collaborate with plant managers, IT, engineering, procurement and operations teams to ensure alignment and buy‑in for digital initiatives. -Drive cultural change toward data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. -Manage and mentor cross‑functional teams, providing guidance and training on new technologies and digital processes. Vendor & Stakeholder Management -Evaluate and select technology providers for MES, EMS, PMMS, and Industry 4.0 solutions; manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements. -Establish relationships with technology partners, agencies, and vendors to support digital initiatives. -Evaluate and select digital tools and platforms, managing contract negotiations and vendor performance. -Present progress, opportunities, and ROI analyses to senior leadership; adjust strategies based on feedback and business priorities. |

| Experience & Preferred Skills | -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field; a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems, Industrial Engineering, or similar is preferred. -12–15 years of experience in manufacturing environments with at least 5 years in a leadership role driving digital transformation initiatives. -Proven expertise in deploying and managing MES, EMS, PMMS, and other Industry 4.0 solutions. -Strong understanding of OEE improvement strategies, production planning methods, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies. -Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects, from concept through implementation and change management. -Knowledge of data integration between shop floor systems (SCADA, PLCs, DCS) and enterprise systems (SAP ERP) Strong understanding of customer experience design, e-commerce, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, cloud). -Experience in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and management for manufacturing technology solutions. |
