Job Purpose | -Accountable for maintaining the best possible supplier performance and pricing as well as for managing the strategy and activity related to purchases. -Create and put into action a plan to make sure the function is carrying out the goals of the business to provide cost savings, enhance value, and reduce supply chain risk. – Ensure continual improvement in the supply base’s ability to deliver goods and services, build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships and oversee the creation of contracts, contractual agreements, and contract administration. -Oversee and lead a group of buyers to provide the necessary assistance to the company in order to meet its corporate and business development goals. -Assist the top management group in advancing the overarching goals of the company. |
Role, & Responsibilities | -Responsible for handling iron,steel , metal casting, plastic,rubber and other accessories. -Overall responsibility for Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business · -Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including cost savings initiatives, supplier management, and risk mitigation. -Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure a reliable and diverse supply chain. -Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions. -Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to managing contracts and delivery schedules. -Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. -Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture. -Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency in procurement operations. Implement best practices to optimize purchasing processes. -Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations regarding product quality and specifications. Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services. -Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, supplier bankruptcies, or quality issues. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges. -Prepare regular reports and analyses on procurement performance, including key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. |

Experience & Preferred Skills | -Should have experience in bulk purchase. -Should a have degree in engineering with diploma in Indian Institute of Material Management (preferred). – Should have experience in negotiation. – Should have an experience of 10-15 years. |
