Regional Sales Manager -East

Position/TitleRegional Sales Manager -East
    Job Purpose-To lead, plan, and execute the General Trade business for Eastern Region — covering West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand — driving profitable revenue growth across product lines.
-The role involves strategic sales planning, channel expansion, distributor management, and team leadership to achieve sales and market share goals across key Eastern markets including Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna, and Ranchi.
  Role, &  Responsibilities 1. Sales & Revenue Management ·     
 Develop and implement the annual business plan and regional sales targets for the Eastern Region in alignment with organizational goals.    
Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and volume targets across all product categories.
· Drive sell-in and sell-out growth through effective trade schemes, distribution expansion, and channel engagement across Eastern markets. · Manage pricing, discounts, and credit control in line with company policy.
2. Channel & Market Development
· Strengthen General Trade and distribution networks across West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand, ensuring deep market penetration in metro, urban, and semi-urban locations.
· Appoint and develop distributors, dealers, and sub-dealers across key cities such as Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna, and Ranchi, ensuring healthy ROI and service standards.
· Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and new product movements in Eastern markets; share actionable market intelligence.
· Ensure effective implementation of trade marketing activities, retailer visibility programs, and consumer promotions.
3. Team Leadership
·Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and Sales Promoters across the Eastern Region. · Review team performance regularly and ensure achievement of KPIs (primary/secondary sales, new dealer activation, coverage).
· Conduct regular training, product orientation, and field coaching sessions to enhance sales capability.
· Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and customer focus.
4. Planning, Forecasting & Operations
· Prepare and monitor sales forecasts, demand planning inputs, and inventory movement for the Eastern Region in collaboration with SCM and finance.
· Track regional sales performance through data analytics, dashboards, and MIS reports; identify gaps and improvement areas.
· Manage claims, trade spends, and regional budgets efficiently; recommend cost optimization measures.
· Drive implementation of sales processes, CRM systems, and digital reporting tools.
5. Relationship Management
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, retailers, and modern trade distributors across Eastern India.
·Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and swift resolution of channel issues or grievances.
· Coordinate with marketing, service, and product teams to align strategies for regional growth and brand consistency.

Experience & Preferred Skills-Education: Graduate in Business / Commerce; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred. 
-Experience:
o Minimum 10–15 years of sales experience and experience in cookware industry, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
o Proven success in managing large multi-state territories and high-performing sales teams.
